1st July - Chair Yoga
An accessible introduction to yoga, ideal for pregnant women, older adults, and anyone with mobility limitations. Using a chair for support, you'll be guided through a gentle sequence of yoga postures combined with mindful movement and focused breathing. Each session concludes with a relaxing guided meditation to promote calm, balance, and wellbeing.
8th July - Kettlebell Workshop
Originating in Russia in the early 18th century as counterweights for measuring grain, kettlebells were later embraced by farmers and strongmen who showcased their strength by swinging them at village fairs.
Today, kettlebells are recognised worldwide as one of the most effective tools for developing strength, cardiovascular fitness, mobility, and functional movement. This workshop will introduce you to safe and effective kettlebell techniques that build lean muscle, improve conditioning, and enhance whole-body performance.
15th July - 5 Elements Yoga
Arun has been teaching yoga since completing his advanced training in India in 2001. Drawing on over 25 years of study, practice, and teaching experience, he has developed 5 Elements Yoga—a unique approach that remains deeply rooted in traditional yogic principles.
Unlike many modern Western styles, 5 Elements Yoga does not separate strength from softness, or yang from yin. Slow, graceful movements are synchronised with calm, steady breathing and an alert, focused mind. Rather than encouraging practitioners to switch off mentally, this method cultivates mindful awareness, recognising that true mindfulness requires an engaged and peaceful mind.
22nd July - Primal Movement
Training with your own body weight is a fundamentally different skill from lifting external weights. Without machines to provide stability, the body must learn to generate strength, balance, and control from within, beginning with the core.
Primal Movement explores natural human movement patterns through bodyweight strength exercises, balance training, mobility drills, and functional movement practices. Requiring no equipment, technology, or prior experience, it offers a simple yet powerful way to develop strength, coordination, and resilience.
29th July - 5 Seasons Qigong
Qigong is a gentle movement practice rooted in ancient Chinese tradition and closely related to Tai Chi. Both disciplines were developed to cultivate physical vitality, mental clarity, emotional balance, and overall wellbeing.
The 5 Seasons Qigong sequence is inspired by the five seasonal energies recognised in traditional Chinese philosophy. Each form offers a unique combination of challenge and nourishment for the body, helping to improve strength, flexibility, coordination, and inner calm. Designed to be learned, remembered, and enjoyed for a lifetime, this flowing practice can be shared with others or enjoyed alone in nature—whether in a park, beside a river, or on a quiet beach at sunrise.
